Enhance the Surface’s Natural Character
SEMCO PreStain Color Activator is combined with PreStain Base to create the colored stain used in the PreStain system. This water-based, penetrating system delivers translucent color while allowing the surface’s texture and natural variation to remain visible.

Select Your Preferred Shade
Listed color options include Grey Marble, Montego Stone, Phantom, Rawhide, White, and Modern Grey. Contact DF Studio to confirm availability and the correct activator quantity for your base volume.
Color Approval: Use the color chart as a guide and approve a sample on your intended substrate with the selected sealer. Surface condition and application technique can affect the result.
Mixing & Application Overview
- Prepare the substrate according to SEMCO’s instructions.
- Combine PreStain Base and Color Activator as specified. Stir the contents; avoid shaking.
- For the Natural Grain method, apply the colored mixture while the initial PreStain Base application is still wet. Avoid puddling.
- Allow drying, inspect the finish, and complete the specified sealing process.
