| Step | Process |
|---|---|
| 1 | Find the tab on the end of the roll — this marks the start of the film. |
| 2 | Begin unrolling the film, pushing it forward with your hands or feet. |
| 3 | Pro installer tip: Unroll about 1–2 feet at a time, walk it into place, then use your feet to push the roll forward and repeat. This keeps the film tight and flat. |
| 4 | For stairs, start at the top and work down. The reverse wound roll makes stair installation much easier. |
| 5 | Cut to size at doorways and transitions. No tape needed — the film self-adheres to the carpet. |
| 6 | Replace at 45 days or sooner if heavily soiled. Do not leave down longer than 45 days. |

|---|---|
| Normal removal | Simply peel back the film at 45 days or sooner. Should lift cleanly with no residue. |
| Adhesive transfer (rare) | Heat the film slowly with a hair dryer to release the adhesive. Do not melt the film — just warm it. |
| After film removal | Use an all-natural or citrus adhesive remover for any remaining residue. |
| Steam cleaning | Steamer wand must reach 170°F. Add 1 cup citrus cleaner per 5 gallons of water (optional). |
