4 boxes per square based on standard exposure: 5" exp (13" shingle) & 7" exp (18" shingle). 18" shingles: Installing at 5¾"–6½" exposure may cause the butt end to raise 3/8" due to the nailing pattern. If installing at these exposures, use adhesive and stainless brad nails 1" in and 1" up from each corner.
