European Tilt & Turn Vinyl Egress Windows provide superior ventilation, security, energy efficiency, and full emergency egress in one innovative window system.
Simply rotate the handle to choose between three operating modes: tilt for ventilation, turn for full in-swing access, or lock for maximum security. All windows feature Low-E, argon-filled double-pane insulated glass with a U-Factor of 0.24.

Turning the handle upward tilts the sash inward from the top, allowing fresh air circulation while helping keep out rain and harsh weather.
Full Turn Opening
Turning the handle horizontally allows the entire sash to swing inward like a door, providing easy cleaning, ventilation, and full emergency egress.

With the handle pointed downward, the multi-point locking system securely locks the window for enhanced security and weather performance.

Egress Requirements
Minimum Opening Size
Upper floors require a minimum net clear opening of 5.7 sq. ft., while ground-floor windows require 5.0 sq. ft.. Minimum width is 20" and minimum height is 24".
Sill Height
The window sill must be no more than 44 inches above the finished floor to comply with IRC egress requirements.
Operation
Egress windows must open from the inside without keys, tools, or special knowledge. Any grilles or guards must also release without tools.
Basement Installation
Basement egress windows require properly sized window wells and, when necessary, ladders or steps at least 12 inches wide for safe exit.
