PolyPro™ sheathing for exterior wall applications is a rigid insulation
consisting of high-performance closed cell Expanded Polystyrene (EPS).
Our insulation is available with factory laminated metallic reflective facer,
clear facer on the back. Our laminates are micro-perforated to reduce
moisture buildup in the wall. PolyPro™ has a stable R-Value that will not
decrease over the life of the product. PolyPro™ insulation does not contain
any ozone depleting HCFCs or formaldehyde, and the foam core is 100%
recyclable. As an added bonus, PolyPro™ will not promote the growth of
mold or mildew.
Why You Need It
Increased R-Value
The reflective facer can provide some reflective benefits when a gap is
provided between PolyPro™ and the cladding.
Termite Treated
As an added feature PolyPro™ can be treated with Preventol® insecticide,
an environmentally safe additive. Termites can tunnel through and ingest
foam in their search for a food source. PolyPro™ with Preventol® kills these
termites and provides a secondary line of defense to standard termite
treatments. Ask for PolyPro™ if you live in a high termite infestation zone.
PermaBrace and Guard are available in 3 thicknesses.
Green is the thinnest panel, doesn’t hold as much shear as OSB
Red is the 1:1 OSB replacement- holds more shear than OSB
Blue is thickest – made for 24” on center
Guard is the same as PermaBrace, but it has a crease which allows it to be applied on corners, (inside and outside corners). The wings hit 2 studs on each side.
PermaBrace SIB is a lightweight structural sheathing with GPS Foam which gives an R Value of R3 or R5
Guard SIB is PermaBrace Guard with foam. Allows the rigid insulation to be applied around corners
Where is it used?
PermaBrace is used directly over framing for stability. It is the structural wall component
How do you apply?
